Curriculum Vitae – Professional Experience

Digital Marketing Freelancer, Charlotta Duse, Gothenburg, 2020-present

In September 2020 I started my own company to keep doing what I enjoy the most: communication and marketing. I offer services such as content strategy, web design, web editing, copywriting, SEO, and photography.

I also do exhibitions and sell art in my webshop.

Web editor, copywriter, and junior production manger, Bilia, Gothenburg, 2018-2020

In 2018, Bilia launched a project to facilitate the buyer decision process for potential online customers. I was hired as the copywriter of the team. During the 5 months the project lasted I transformed technical car language into everyday life possibilities (always with SEO in mind) for digital advertisements.

While the project finished my contract at Bilia was extended. I worked with digital marketing and created content, copy, and images for several of the company’s websites, Facebook pages, and Instagram profiles.

I also acted as a junior production manager. I oversaw the production processes to ensure that the creation of ads, campaigns, and other material run according to plan and deadlines and that they met the standards and expectations of the clients. My duties as a junior production manager included planning resources, communicating with clients, and communication with editorial offices.

Communications Officer, The Integration Center of Gothenburg,

Gothenburg, 2015-2018

The Integration Center of Gothenburg is a unit that specializes in migration and integration. It offers services for newly arrived migrants and refugees, as well as possibilities for the local population of Gothenburg to participate as volunteers.

During my years at the Integration Center, my work consisted of different communication tasks aimed towards a very diverse audience ranging between newly arrived migrants, citizens of Gothenburg, civil society, politicians, and coworkers. My duties included planning, producing, and publishing written and visual material for social media, websites, newsletters, among other channels. Some examples of the kinds of material that I produced are articles, reports, classroom material, film, and photos.

An editorial office is a dynamic environment where new subjects and situations were handled constantly, and almost always with very tight deadlines.

My responsibility was to make a credible and relevant product for the readers, every day. This required being well informed, flexible, and able to interpret changing environments.

My responsibilities at the editorial office included pitching ideas, conducting interviews, writing longer articles, and shorter press notes. I was also responsible for creating multimedia content (photos and videos) to tell the visual story of the respective news pieces.

Master’s degree: Communication for Development. Online, Malmö University, 2013-2015

Master’s degree conducted online and in English. Communication and social media are used as a means for social change. The master contains courses in communication, project processes, and ICT (Information and Communications Technology).

My thesis got the highest grade, an A, and led to an employment offer at the Integration Center of Gothenburg, in collaboration with whom I’d written the thesis.

Bachelor’s degree: Photography, GrisArt Photography, Barcelona, 2011-2014

Bachelor’s degree at the international school of photography GrisArt in Barcelona. During three years the program provided theory and practice in subjects such as lighting technique, studio photography, image editing (Adobe Photoshop), video production (iMovie and FinalCut Pro), and digital marketing tools (WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, and Behance).

Bachelor’s degree: Cultural anthropology, Lund University/ Autonomous University of Barcelona, 2008-2013

Bachelor’s degree practicing the study of the human culture from economical, political, social, and religious perspectives. I did an exchange semester at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a majority of the credits online.

My degree project was about equality policy at the University of Barcelona and got the highest grade.
